Ex-HRD Ministe and current Textile Minister Smriti Irani had unsuccessfully fought against Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi in last Lok Sabha elections…..

Tickets already being distributed to most potential winners in Uttar Pradesh, with Elections drawing near, those who feel ignored or neglected by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took to violence to lodge their protest.

It was believed till the otherday that, while internecine strife has hit all political parties in the fray, BJP had been mostly free of the problem.

Some signs of dissatisfaction, however, have emerged and the worse of them have been in Amethi which is a Congress bastion long dominated by the party. All BJP efforts to snatch the constituency away from Congress, although, have not borne fruit till now.

Smriti Irani is trying to make a significant inroads though. She had unsuccessfully fought against Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi in last Lok Sabha elections.

In protest against Ticket Distribution the violence in Amethi was carried out by a group of BJP workers. Surprisingly, this was for the second time in three days.

The Textile Minister’s Effigy was burnt on Monday too in Musafirkhana.
Irani is blamed by BJP men for Uma Shankar Pandey being nominated for Gauriganj assembly seat. Links of Pandey to Irani ,are being connected to her, getting the chance to contest the election.

During the General Electiòns in 2014, Pandey was once the polling agent of Irani.
